I love the glam of showgirls…I mean I technically am one so its only natural that the glam sneaks into my shoots. When Althea came to the studio for a shoot, we HAD to let the glam ooze but rather than go for the somewhat cliche pinup poses and styling, I chose for a more 60s influenced shoot. Editorial fashion shoots are so much fun as you can really play up the styling and end result. So teaming with Aurora Loves for the hair and beauty, I shot this series of images in my studio here in Northampton. Lens of choice were my Sigma 24-70 and my Lensbaby 3G . I love Lensbaby especially and you will be seeing more and more of their lenses being used in my work. My Lensbaby 3G is now discontinued BUT they do have a similar effect one here: https://lensbaby.com/product/composer-pro-ii-with-sweet-35-optic/

Sadly at the end of the shoot my 24-70 was dropped and now is no more so I am in the market for a new one! Recommend me?!

Ok back to the shoot. Aurora helped create my vision and we used my hand painted backdrop once again. It has been a while since I pulled that bad boy out. Want to make your own? Check out my blog here on it: Handpainted backdrop. Althea was a fabulous model and though she admitted fashion type work isnt something she has much experience in, she really did super!

We also as ever shot an awesome behind the scenes video:
