Kids Photography shoot – Children on Camera

I have to say kids are pretty awesome when it comes to photos. They come into the studio and instantly the place is buzzing with laughter and silliness. When a client came in my Northampton photography studio with her two children this weekend, the laughter was infectious. Both girls are beautiful and it was clear from the get go, they have an amazing bond despite the age gap. Photographing children can be difficult as getting them to focus can be hard, the tip to keep them laughing and engaged.

The girls even have their own handshake which is adorable. I was keen to move the shoot between the studio and outside. Allow them to be themselves. Kids photography sessions should be relaxed and led by the children themselves.

Get them playing how they do naturally. Be that climbing trees like Grace or running about like loons.

With different age groups in a shoot, kids photography needs to reflect each child involved though collectively you can have some great fun. Think outside the box.
