We all love it. We adore couple shoots. We love to show off our love, take silly photos with our beloved. Sometimes they are engagement shoots, and sometimes they are just being in a relationship that matters.

For the whole month of February 2015, here at Khandie HQ we are offering a special discount on couple photo shoots. Perfect for those who perhaps plan to propose on Valentine’s Day or those who wish to be romantic and surprise their beloved. Location only so that means no stuffy studio. Perhaps in the place you proposed, a local park or a place you both hold dear. Feel free to book in or contact us for more details via the contact page.

Here are some top tips on how to ensure a successful couple photo shoot:

  1. Relax. This isnt about duckfacing or being all serious. This is a time to show what it means to be you two and being happy. As a photographer its my job to capture that. So just do ya thing and all will go perfectly.
  2. Wear clothes that compliment but not mimic. No matching blue jeans and bunny ears. Unless thats your thing of course. Tonal matches work. Avoid big logos or gimmicky tops as if nothing else they date the images, and like your love the images should last and not date.
  3. Pick a location you know. Have a shoot somewhere you are comfortable and means something to you. Even if that is only because you like the view.Together
  4. Dont worry about the weather. Wind and rain can actually be fun to shoot in. Just bring a warm jacket and umbrella. Cozy under the umbrella with your partner can be very romantic after all.
  5. Dont forget your hobbies and pets. Got a pet pig? A dog? Bring them along. Something you two share together is perfect to show off in your shoot. Couple photo shoots neednt be stuffy so bring things that show you are anything but.
  6. Hair and makeup: dont suddenly have a mega watt updo if that isnt your usual. It will make you feel awkward and uncomfortable. By all means book in to have your hair and make up done but only if you wish to.Couple photo shoot
  7. Arrive with plenty of time. This allows for getting to various locations and if the location is suddenly not available. It can happen. I once arrived at a shoot location to find a council closed the road that morning without warning. Thankfully there was a lovely garden nearby to shoot in.
  8. Bring the ring! If its an engagement shoot, dont forget the ring.
  9. Enjoy it. 🙂
