Why Book Me As Your Wedding Photographer?

Its so easy for me to say ‘hey guys book me as your wedding photographer‘. I could wack a load of stock images bought off the internet, get my mates to leave reviews and generally lead you up the garden path with my own awesome. So no, that is not my style. Instead I asked one of my recent brides to speak candidly as to why she chose me (aka Khandie Photography) as her wedding photographer.

So lets get into this!

Hey Kelly!

1. How is married life?

   Married life is amazing, it is a feeling of bliss being with the person who means the world to you and knowing that you will grow old together. We both feel so complete as a little family and its made us connect on a deeper level. I wished I could bottle that feeling because it is perfect.

 

2. Advise for brides out there for surviving the planning and day?

   Everyone said to me ‘enjoy every moment as it goes in a blur’- I would say the same, it really does! Don’t sweat the small stuff, focus on marrying your soul mate- wedding favours, invites, decorations, whilst beautiful aren’t as important as you and your partner making the commitment to each other for the rest of your lives. Your  friends and family are there to enjoy seeing the love and unity between the two of you and everything else is a bonus. This is why I would say spend your budget on getting the right photographer because your photographs are forever and that is priceless in my opinion.

 

3. What made you choose Khandie Photography?

   Our biggest fear and stress about our wedding was the thought of having our photographs done. I know this sounds crazy but we had searched online and came across the same old images and hated the idea of standing there looking really stiff and staged. I had contacted some photographers and one even had commented on the fact that they could make my waist look smaller, look taller and whatever else they wanted to change- I was shocked. Others were very much ‘I charge this amount of money, be there for a certain amount of hours, take certain images’ given the impression it is a case of – take your money and provide a very ‘identikit’ service.  I found Khandie via a friend on social media and was immediately drawn to her images as they capture real people and emotions of all shapes and sizes. Khandie is real and captures the beauty of emotions and this is what we wanted.

4. How was it having Khandie shooting you on the day?

   Magical! Khandie is such a talented woman. We all felt so at ease and as if we were spending the day with a friend who actually cared about us and not like ‘oh this is just another wedding shoot’.The best part of our day was the wedding ceremony and the shoot afterwards because Khandie makes you feel a million dollars and our images are STUNNING! I really don’t like having my photo taken and neither does my husband but we felt like super stars with her and so comfortable- we both wished we could do that every day! Also we have been given so many compliments from our friends and some thinking that they should be in a wedding magazine.

4. Would you recommend Khandie Photography to other brides. If so why/why not?

   Without a doubt! Khandie really listens to what you want from the day, the images you would you like, the structure of your day and  support leading up to your big day. We met for coffee on a few occasions which was amazing because on the day we felt so at ease. There a packages that are on offer with Khandie Photography to suit any budget but again this isn’t set in stone and if you want a bit extra than this can be arranged, anything is possible. We felt that this lovely woman loves what she does and genuinely cares about her clients, certainly going above and beyond her job role – what other photographer can you text out of hours about wedding jitters and get a funny and supportive answer back? Not to mention looking after the bride and groom when all the guests have whipped through the champagne and she gets one for you? WOW.

5. Whats the next big adventure for you?

   On a personal level we are moving home, I am learning to drive and who knows there is talk of baby number 2! We are going to book Khandie Photography when our daughter turns 2 to do some birthday ‘milestone’ photographs- she doesn’t know this but we will be in touch to arrange it. If we do have another baby then without a doubt I will book in for some stunning ‘bump’ images because you just know they will be beautiful.
