/  Photography   /  Steve Bayless Vert Session 2017 – Skateboarding

So I have to say I have a new found love and it is for photographing skateboarding and generally people on a skateboard. I knew VERY little when I started about how to even begin to photograph such a high speed sport. There are rules and etiquette to follow naturally as there is with most things in life, but what may look good as a photographer, wont impress the skaters so I figured I best please them. I recently went along to the Steve Bayless Vert Session in St Neots. This yearly memorial event is set up in honour the awesome Steve Bayless and whilst it is a tragedy to lose anyone, it is truly beautiful to see so much being done in his honour.

Breaking out the new Fisheye lens to have a go…Its perfect for this type of work but I definitely need to practise more on getting at the sweet spot…photographer speak for the right place in focus for optimum effect.  skateboarding, skateboarder, skateboard, st neots, steve bayless, vert, skateboarding, skateboarder, skateboard, st neots, steve bayless, vert,
